When Papa Joe “Sewer King” Van Horn takes a fatal spill from a French Quarter balcony, his eccentric family, friends, and professional associates gather for his funeral aboard the aging steamboat Fleur de Lis only to make a series of startling discoveries: Papa Joe was murdered, every single person present wanted him dead, and the killer intends to strike again!

BlackGround is an all-African-American comedy troupe. They take classic movies like Star Wars and Indiana Jones and improvise what the Black people were doing during the movie. It is a hilarious show featuring killer comedy, incredible guests, and a fun-filled celebration of Blackness. Come laugh, celebrate, and embrace the essence of Blackness in a way you've never seen before. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience where laughter meets legacy.
The Dad’s Garage Lobby opens one hour before the show for all patrons. If you purchased tickets ahead of time, skip the Box Office line and present your mobile tickets linked in your confirmation email to our ticket scanner. If you prefer, you may still pick up your ticket(s) at the Box Office.
