An exterior photo of Dad's Garage with a crowd of people standing outside. Dad's Garage is a renovated two-story brick church with a white roof and a neon sign that reads, "Dad's Garage".

Coming to Dad’s Garage is not only a 100% fulfilling and life-affirming experience—there’s a bunch of stuff to enjoy in our neighborhood to create a full, fun night out!

We’re excited to see you at the theatre soon!

Thanks for purchasing tickets to Dad's Garage located in an old, renovated church in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward at 569 Ezzard Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30312! Click the questions below to get all the deets on where to find us, where to park, where to eat - all that good stuff and more.

  • Generally, Dad’s Garage has one “early” show or event every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, we host two different shows and events on the same night—one “early” show, and one “late” show.

Usually, our “early” shows begin at 8 p.m. and consist of two ~45-minute halves with an intermission. Our late shows begin at 10 or 10:30 p.m. (depending on its setup needs) and last about one hour. Please refer to a show’s individual listing or your ticket email for more details.

  • You have three options for parking and transportation to our theatre.

    Dad’s Garage Parking Lot

There are a limited number of free parking spots available in our parking lot (directly across the street from our building on the right-hand side.) Make sure to arrive early if you want to get one of these coveted spots.

    Street Parking

A handful of free spaces are available on the street in the surrounding neighborhood, but we can't guarantee how many or for how long!

    Go Green

Public Transportation: Dad's Garage is within walking distance from the Atlanta Beltline. We are also foot-accessible from the MLK Station (MARTA Eastbound blue and green lines.)

From MLK Station, head east on Decatur Street until you reach Bradley Street. Turn left, walk one more block, and you'll see the theatre.

Bike: We've got bike racks for you at the theatre AND there is a bike lane on Edgewood Avenue near Ezzard Street. Huzzah!

Carpool/Rideshare: If you know you wanna get crunk at our bar or just know your passenger princess heart, consider taking an Uber or Lyft.

Streetcar: Take the Atlanta Streetcar to the Edgewood Avenue stop at Hillard Street. Get off and keep walking east (towards Moreland Avenue and Decatur) on Edgewood until you get to Bradley Street. Turn right (south) onto Bradley Street, and you will see the theatre. Dad’s Garage is at the corner of Bradley and Ezzard Street.

  • Yes. The Dad’s Garage lobby and bar opens one hour before showtime. Check out our full Dad's Garage Bar menu of beer, wine, spirits, and light concessions (chips and candy bars, not dinner entrees) in the lobby before the show and during intermission.

Everyone will be carded, so bring your I.D. if you want to drink. We don't allow outside alcohol. Sorry.

We prefer cards for all transactions, but we do have cash on hand.

  • There are tons of great restaurants within walking distance of Dad’s Garage—the closest options are O4W Market, Planet Bombay, Lotta Frutta, The Baxter, and Shake Shack.

The theatre is about a block and a half from the Edgewood entrance to The Beltline. Should you choose to walk along the Beltline, you’ll pass several great options from quick eats to sit-down options perfect for date night, including Krog Street Market, located at 99 Krog Street.

  • Only you can answer this question. If you let your kids watch FX, Dad’s Garage is probably fine. Bring them at your own risk.

All Dad’s Garage shows (with the exception of our kids shows like Wowie Zowie and Adventure Playhouse) are created and intended for adult audiences. They often contain adult humor such as: cursing, sexual innuendo, violence, and sometimes nudity— often at the same time. Typically, we set an age limit of 18-and-older for our general programming. However, we also believe that parents have the right to choose what's okay for their children to watch.

  • If you purchased tickets but did not use them, no, we cannot offer you a refund on those tickets.

If you purchased tickets but hated the show, no, we still cannot offer you a refund for your tickets. We sincerely hope this never happens.

If, within 48-hours before a show, you realize you have purchased tickets to a show you can no longer attend, please email tickets@dadsgarage.com and request an exchange. If your email is sent after 6 p.m. on a weeknight or any time on a weekend, we will get back to you the next business day. Rest assured, we will still exchange your ticket if it's processed after the show you missed!

Exchange requests are not applicable to celebrity, special, or private events.

  • Yes, actually.

Sign up for the Dad’s Garage weekly newsletter to receive discounts for our shows in your inbox.

Volunteers see shows for free and earn class discounts, too.

We also offer scholarships for our classes and summer camps.

  • Large groups: We can absolutely accommodate large groups whether through a block of tickets, a private happy hour and show combo, or arranging a special kids’ show to celebrate your little one. You can also arrange a private show here.

Venue Rentals/Private Events: Yep, you can rent our theatre, lobby bar, parking lot, or all three for parties, film shoots, weddings, podcasts, corporate events—anything! Dad’s Garage is particularly well-suited to one-off events, thanks to our heavy show schedule. Since Thursday—Saturday are our prime show nights, you’ll likely have the best luck asking to rent the venue Sunday—Wednesday, but anything is possible. Email nate@dadsgarage.com for more information.

  • Producing an original script: Dad’s Garage almost always produces our own original work. That said, if you really think you have a script that makes sense for Dad's Garage to produce (and you’ve seen our scripted shows to confirm it’s up our alley), email it to tim@dadsgarage.com.

Licensing a Dad’s Garage show: Did you like what you saw on our stage? Want to do it at your own theatre? Email tim@dadsgarage.com! That’s right, any of the shows you see on our stage are available to license and perform wherever you want. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll get back to you with details.
