GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!
June 5—28 | Thursdays—Sundays
GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL! is a two-person show within a show—this comedically conceived, choreographed, scored, and written theatrical romp brings to life the (allegedly) improvised two-man version of best pals Bev and Doug’s magnum opus, GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!, as they dazzle an audience of potential producers and investors at the most outrageous, bombastic, and melodically catchy backers’ audition ever conceived on (or off) The Great White Way.
Karen Cassady and Travis Sharp of the Dad’s Garage ensemble bring Bev, Doug, and their disastrously beautiful musical creation to life onstage with the authentic, infectious, and spontaneous charm and charisma of our improv performances, but with all the pizazz, panache, and delusions of production value found only in modern spectacle theatre!

Our Mission
At Dad’s Garage, it’s our mission to transform people, communities, and perspectives through laughter.
Through our dedication to nurturing artists in the beginnings of their careers, Dad’s has become a launch pad for creative success. Our performers, designers, and other creative professionals go on to become leaders in their fields, and work with other theaters across the world. By saying “Yes, and…” to emerging creative voices, we give them the support necessary to succeed in the arts.
Our calendar of shows and events
We do hundreds of shows and dozens of formats a year. There’s something different at Dad’s every week, but you can guarantee it’ll always be funny. (Or at least we hope it is.)
