Dad’s Garage Staff

Her eye for detail, determination to succeed, and ability to negotiate on behalf of and advocate for the arts define her exemplary work and career: Katie entered the industry in 2008 at Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia as resident stage manager before transitioning to an arts administration role to support the nonprofit’s operations. In 2019, she became general manager before transitioning to the role of managing director in 2020.
During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Katie secured $1.5 million in government relief for the theatre and positioned the theatre to expand despite the economic downturn plaguing the industry nationwide. Not only did the theatre’s robust programming and community engagement continue to grow, but Katie’s proactive foresight, coupled with that of theatre Co-Founders Anthony Rodriguez and Ann-Carol Pence, guided the theatre to expand its partnership with the City of Lawrenceville to construct the multi-million dollar Lawrenceville Arts Center—and see it through to successful completion.
In 2024, Katie joined Dad’s Garage as Managing Director. She is instrumental in the day-to-day business of the theatre, but also keeps our organization focused on the future of the performing arts, and how Dad’s Garage can continue to transform people, communities, and perspectives through laughter.

Before that, he was the artistic director, writer, performer, and playwright at Dad’s Garage Theatre. He has extensive experience both on and off the stage of some of the most influential institutions in America. He is an award-winning improviser, oversaw Audience Development at the Alliance Theatre Company, founded United Atlanta Improv—an organization dedicated to helping improv theatres around Atlanta—and was the winner of the 2018 Suzi Bass award for his play Black Nerd. However, his greatest accomplishments are being a dad to his daughter, Ava, and a loving partner to Annie.
-
Tim’s directorial credits include the Dad’s Garage original productions Reversible Lane and To Peach Their Own, as well as co-directing Sketchy Show alongside Eve Krueger and co-directing The White Chip, a co-production between Dad’s Garage and Theatrical Outfit, with Matt Torney. Atlanta theatre credits include The Alliance, The Academy Theatre, Synchronicity, Jewish Theatre of the South, Center for Puppetry Arts, Agatha’s Dinner Theatre, and Laughing Matters. Chicago credits include The Second City Touring Company, Metropolis Theatre, Annoyance, UP Stage, The Second City ETC and Mainstage, iO, and Goodman Theatre. He has also performed at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Phoenix Theatre. Tim has been seen in numerous commercials for AT&T, T-Mobile, Georgia Lottery, Dollar Shave Club, Southwest Airlines, Walgreens, and, most recently, WhatsApp.
-
Eve’s improvising credits include not only Dad’s Garage Theatre, but the Second City’s National Touring Company and Chicago location, The Annoyance, and Laughing Matters, but her professional experience extends beyond the world of improvised theatre: her career in the performing arts includes writing, improvising, performing original works, directing scripted and improvised productions, and teaching improvisation.
Eve’s teaching career began in the early 2000s and, in 2008, she gained accreditation as a Distance Learning Instructor. Eve’s dedication to education inspired her to pursue an MFA in Acting with a focus on performance pedagogy, and she further developed her teaching skills at an MFA program offered by Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC). As a result of this experience, Eve is committed to creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive spaces by bringing consent-forward practices to the comedy world.
-
Since 2016, he has been an integral part of Dad's Garage Theatre in Atlanta. Maged oversees the education and community programs for Dad’s Garage, including the summer camps and community jams. He is committed to fostering creativity and learning as they learn the art of improvisation. He pours his passion for education into his efforts to cultivate a supportive and dynamic learning environment and empower individuals to explore and develop their artistic talents.
-
He attended Kennesaw State University and studied improvisation as a member of the school’s Kennesaw Improv Society. Nate’s administrative responsibilities as operations director include data-based management, accounting, website management, and organizational skills to support a welcoming community and entertainment space at Dad’s Garage in service to its mission of transforming people, perspectives, and communities through laughter.

When he is not making sure the bar is stocked, our popcorn is popped, the front door is unlocked, and our staff and volunteers are ready to show you a great time at the drop…of a hat, this Dad’s Garage conservatory alumnus performs with various improv and musical groups in Atlanta, including Measure Island.
Jamie Warde

Jamie also serves on the IDEAS Committee of the Production Managers Forum through TCG, on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Green Theatre Alliance, and as part of the Facility Task Force that found and renovated the Dad’s Garage 569 Ezzard Street location.
Reed Pendergrass

He doesn’t like to talk about himself much.
Megan Leahy
Company Manager
-
As company manager, she facilitates and maintains communications between the staff and ensemble and supports the creation of the Dad’s Garage artistic programming. This includes managing the company and facility schedule, personnel contracts, and employment documents. Megan performs regularly, writes frequently, and directs seldomly. She’d like to meet your dog.
Abel Arias
Corporate Manager
-
He has taught improv since 2011, and developed an Improv for Actors class at The American Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA) in Los Angeles, CA. Abel's time at AADA as well as his many improv and on-set adventures opened his eyes to the benefits improv skills brought to performance, professional settings, and everyday life.
As the corporate manager at Dad’s Garage, Abel expands an already amazing program that showcases improv as an invaluable skill for teamwork, collaboration, and problem solving.
Lily Stancill
Marketing Manager
-
She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014. Initially, her marketing career began in the Architecture, Design, and Construction (AEC) industry managing firms’ internal marketing, proposal submissions, and public and media outreach. In 2020, she transitioned to the digital marketing and public relations firm communications 21 and gained experience managing clients from diverse industries and of every breadth of organizational size. She joined Dad’s Garage in 2024 and is excited to support the theatre’s growth!
