Students will work throughout the week on a variety of theatre and improv skills. Not only will campers learn to play some top-notch improv games, but we'll encourage positive self-image, healthy communication habits, and scene work tools.
Improv has been used around the world as a way to teach young people the skills necessary for collaboration, teamwork, and self-confidence. In Canada, many high schools feature after school improv programs to provide a safe and uplifting environment to make friends and have fun. For more than a decade, Dad’s Garage has offered a high school outreach program, and the Summer Camp continues this legacy of kick-starting a love for theatre and improv at an early age. Improv builds the skills of confidence, failure resiliency, and teamwork in a positive and uplifting environment.
