Travis Sharp began his improv career in 1990 with Knoxville Tennessee’s Commedia del Blah. It was bad and he stopped. In 2000, he discovered Dad’s Garage Theatre Company, and fell in love with Dad’s’s style of seat-of-your-pants improvisation. Travis has taught improvisation at Dad’s Garage; served as a visiting instructor at The Actor’s Theatre, Geva Theatre, and the Florida Studio Theatre; and created the Adprov curriculum for teaching advertising professionals improvisational methods to improve their work. During the day, Travis is an advertising and marketing professional.
Hannah is what we like to call a jack of all trades. A renaissance woman if you will. She was MVP of her flag football league in college and has been publicly mistaken for Taylor Schilling three times. She is originally from Minnesota, not Wisconsin, where she got her start in improv at the Brave New Workshop Theater before moving over to HUGE Theater company. She is new(ish) to Atlanta and its scene but is loving it so far! She has been quoted saying: “Oh sure you betcha, Dad’s Garage is like home, and Jon Carr the fairy godmother I always wanted but never had.” She also acts and writes and dabbles in some casual hangouts with friends when appropriate! Cheers to improv and being apart of this rad clan!
Kirsten is a proud product of an Army family and wouldn’t have it any other way. She attended Auburn University and graduated with a BFA in Theatre Performance and then attended Circle In The Square Professional Summer Theatre Conservatory in NYC. Kirsten then moved to Atlanta and has been a working actor in the city and a proud Georgia Peach for the past 10+ years. She has worked with Georgia Shakespeare’s Children’s Tour, The Center for Puppetry Arts, Ansley Park Playhouse, Blankstage Productions, at Actor’s Express, Laughing Matters, and can now be found performing as a member of Dark Side of The Room and as a General Company Actor at Dad’s. She has also held positions working as a Teaching Artist with the Alliance Theatre Education Dept., schools in the APS school system, The Brink, Kate’s Club, spent time as one of the hosts of The Moth Atlanta, and is the Youth Programs Director here at Dad’s.
Amanda Lee is so happy to be a part of the Dad’s Garage family! After graduating from Emory University in 2002 with a BA in theatre studies, she headed off to Seattle, WA for about 12 years. There she was the Director of Education and Outreach at Youth Theatre Northwest, company member at Jet City Improv and worked with various theatre companies such as Seattle Children’s Theatre, Theatre Schmeater and Book-It Repertory Theatre. When not performing at Dad’s Garage, Amanda Lee is in graduate school at Georgia State University.
Rickey is very excited about being a part of Dad’s Garage. In 2001, he moved from his hometown of Columbus GA, to study Film and Video at Georgia State University. After graduating in 06, Rickey stumbled upon Dad’s and never left. He is also a member of Automatic Improv over at Relapse Theatre. When he is not performing, Rickey loves watching martial art films, and learning awful bar jokes. Although he is soft spoken, do not let that fool you. This man is silent but violent!
