Cast and Crew

Avery Sharpe is beyond honored to be making his “scripted show” debut here at Dad’s! Being a member of the Dad’s Garage Rookies, one can typically find him on Dad’s stages doing improv, but he is ecstatic for a change of pace to work on this show beautifully written by the always-juicy Jon Carr (take that as you will). While this is Avery’s first scripted show at Dad’s, he is no stranger to stages around Atlanta. Atlanta credits include: The Jungle Book, A Bucket of Blessings, Pearl Cleage’s Tell Me My Dream (Alliance Theatre), Marcus; Or the Secret of Sweet (Actor’s Express), and Once Upon a Mattress (Stage Door Players). Most excitingly, he is the co-winner of the 2018 Essential Theatre Playwriting Contest, and Woke, his debut play as a writer, will receive its world premiere production at Essential Theatre this August. He is so thankful for all the family, friends, and supporters that give him the privilege of living his dreams. Much love to Yeshua and Mon Papillion!
Jon is ecstatic to be making his Dad's Garage debut! Wierenga received his BFA in Acting from Michigan State University, completed his apprenticeship at Aurora Theatre, and studies at The Company Acting Studio as part of the Master Class. Some of Jon's favorite theatrical roles include Ben Hecht in Moonlight & Magnolias (Gypsy Theatre), Prince Dauntless in Once Upon A Mattress (Stage Door Players), and Toby in Evelyn in Purgatory (Essential Theatre). He also writes and performs for the weekly news-comedy show, Good Evening, Tonight! at Highwire Comedy Co. Many thanks to Tiffany and Jon, the cast and crew, and to the patrons for making it all possible. Choop to Katie.
