Amber Nash did her first show at Dad’s Garage in 1999 and never left. She became a member of the ensemble in 2004 and has done everything from cleaning toilets, to teaching, to performing and serving as the Education Director. Amber has done countless productions at Dad’s in the past but doesn’t get the chance to do them as much as she used to, so she was excited to get back into it with some old dummies. Getting to work with Scott and Matt again was like going back to your childhood home and finding your big brothers still in the base- ment farting on each other except now they are wearing suits because they are lawyers. And then throwing Karen into the mix just made the whole thing a delight. Karen is a ray of hilarious sunshine. Thanks to all the hard work of the designers and
a crew that is working so much harder backstage than we are on stage.
Amber is best known for her role as Pam Poovey on the hit animated show Archer. She lives in Cabbag- etown with her handsome and ever fashionable husband Kevin and their skinny and always neurotic dog Carol.
Matt has been improvising since 1994, when he joined the “We’re Not Your Mother Players” while at- tending the University of South Carolina. After grad- uating, Matt moved to Atlanta and saw an improv show at Dad’s Garage. He witnessed a scene where Matt Stanton played a talking chicken and Joseph Limbaugh ripped out his heart and took a bite. This was obviously the place. Matt has been performing, teaching, directing and writing at Dad’s Garage for twenty years now. He has created and directed such popular Dad’s improv formats as Ask Dr. Frapples: Im- prov Psychiatry, Murder, She Improvised, Nite Skool and Gritty Cop Drama, as well as the wildly unsuccessful Justal System. He has also written or co-written a number of shows for Dad’s, including Z.O.N.K.E.R.S. – An 80’s Tit Comedy, Song of the Living Dead: A Zombie Musical, The Going Out of Business Show, Drove, Chick & Boozy’s Christmas on Ice and now the show you’re here to see tonight! He has also had the pleasure & honor of representing Dad’s Garage improv for two European Tours and at a host of tournaments and festivals all over the US and Canada. Matt has been on staff at Dad’s as an Associate Artistic Director since May of 2011.
Karen is thrilled to be back on stage at Dad’s Garage this season. She is an ensemble member and teacher here at the theater and loves this place with all her heart. Some of her favorite shows she’s been in at Dad’s are; Wicket, Invasion: Christmas Carol, King of Pops the Musical, 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, Merry #?&$ing Christmas (partnering with the Alliance), Musicals Suck: The Musical and more! She also had the honor of writing and performing in her first play, Karon the Barbarian. She’s done a few things with Adult Swim including: Too Many Cooks, Your Pretty Face, As Seen on Adult Swim, and some Voice Over work. She wants to thank Matt Horgan for trusting her to fill some big shoes and for knowing what char- acters to write to make her look like an idiot. Love to her family and Michael who has her heart.
This one’s for you Dad!
